As per my post the other day I was meant to be running the UK three peaks charity challenge but actually went and completely ballsed it up. Not being one to take failure lightly here are some lessons from the disaster which I hope will help you not make the mistakes I did.

Why Read (1000 words)

As most of you will know I am not one for conventional advice, and this goes double when it comes to health and fitness. Everyone has an opinion and the experts make a lot of money telling people how to lose weight. Well here is one of my theories on keeping a decent body, loosely backed up by photographic evidence, and which also happens to include a lot of icecream.

Read on if I have spiked your sweet tooth.

It’s a funny thing life, one day we are here and the next we are gone. Depending on your religious you may believe there is a ultimate point to life or not but in either case, what is the point of life if you are in it just to survive. Just to survive life seems to be rather a wasteful use of time and really rather pointless. If you have the gift of life then why spend 80 years justwandering through it trying to survive. if you have the gift of life it should not be wasted in this way. The gift of life should be used to have the greatest adventure you can, regardless of the fact that there may or may not be something waiting at the end of the tunnel.

It takes me less than an hour to write blog posts. Most of my posts are around 1000 words. Usually they make sense. This is how I structure and write them – I create elephants.

Location Location Location…that is the big shiny key. The Critical three L’s. The Robin Hoods Maid Marian.

A well thought out location to live is to your happiness like rich belgium influence is to “Death By Chocolate” – a necessity. Here some pointers on the importance of location, the key four things to consider and ways to find that perfect location for you.

So, it is time to hack sleep, or more accurately – BECOME BETTER THAN SUPERMAN

Now I don’t mean hack as in the slasher/horror movie sort of way as this blog is far too upper class for that sort of cheesy, predictable depravity. Instead, to hack the art of sleep and the process of sleeping in order to find the optimum amount of sleep to get a night, what you can get away with having, what is way too much and how to best use the hours you do get. Basically, how to get one up on superman and wipe the smugness off his face.

You spend almost a third of your life on average asleep, a lack of sleep during old age nicely counterbalancing a ridiculously high amount while pretending to be a student. Surely then, it is worthwhile to optimize it? This is a rhetorical question, the answer is yes.

This is a post inspired by TED.com’s ingenious section that I hope someday to be on, even if I have to make an uninvited guest appearance and run like a demented would be stripper across the stage and into the gentle waiting hands of security.

I have spent a good sized wedge of today listening to the incredible short video clips of amazing individuals from all walks of life and the ideas that they have developed to solve the problems that they have encountered in the world. Most of these individuals are ordinary people that have used their own unique creativity, experiences and talents to make real and lasting change in hundreds of thousands of peoples lives.

I would put out the challange to you that, if they can do it, why can’t you?

It’s guest post round up time kids.

Now some astute readers may peer through this smokescreen I am putting up and see a blatant, and frankly abysmal excuse by yours truly for not writing a proper post….and you would be right.

I have been having an awesome time in the last few days and have neglected to write a decent post of even borderline quality, and as it happens my reserves of upcoming posts are dwindling horribly.

In addition to chocolate covered marshmallow, I am a great believer in having structure in life, and systems in place that allow you to work and function effectively.

Like a strong wind or a forced piggy back from a friend, structure will take you to where you have set your sights on the horizon.

However, I am not a stickler for structures and from time to time, like custard filled balloons, I will quite happily throw them out a 6th Story window when an altogether more powerful animal comes knocking.

In the movies, quitting your job is always a momentous occasion – usually a pivotal point in the lead characters life or the turning point in the story line of the movie – and thus because of this is subsequently always spectacularly overblown. Why Read – Approx 5 Mins Readtime Although there is unlikey to [...]
