Why Read? (800 Words)
Hello all,
A while ago I sent out a survey to review how things were going on thelifething.com and how I could improve what it offers to all that read it. Well, here are the results and what it means for the future of thelifething.com. If you wish to run your own survey then I highly recommend SurveyMonkey.com (No affiliate). It both a free and commercial version.
.
Heres What You All Said
Thanks to the 55 people than replied to the survey, which is an exactly 10% of my current feedburner readers which I don’t think is bad by anyones standards. Here are the questions I asked and what you said.
.
1. How would you rate the overall quality of thelifething.com?
The options given were to rate it between a score of 1 and 10 and I am happy to say that you rated the site an average of 7.91, which is awesome, with almost 20% rating it 10 out of 10. There were obviously a few less than happy individuals but then you can’t please everyone.
Here are some of the responses you gave (click to enlarge)
.
2. thelifething.com focuses on Lifestyle Design, Business and Sexy Money. Which are you most interested in?
It seems that lifestyle is still the heavy focus of the readers on this blog though this is slightly skewed by the fact that business and sexy money is a recent addition. However, Lifestyle design will remain the core focus of the lifething.com with business and sexy money topics used to enhance the user experience.
.
3. Which type of post do you enjoy most?
Well it seems that thelifething.com are a practical bunch looking for actual tools to reach success instead of just words. I can relate to that and so a large focus of thelifething.com will be exploring and giving people the practical tools for living the life they dream of supplemented with Spotlight, How to’s and personal experience articles.
To date, here are some great tools already featured on thelifething.com:
2. Writing The Perfect Blog Post: Heart, Skeleton, Flesh, Skin and Polish Your Elephant
3. A Simple Structure That Will Change Your Life
4. A Happiness Fundamental: The Social Spiderweb
.
4. Which type of ebook would you like to see more of at thelifething.com?
Fortunately only one person hated my ebooks, thus it seems most really liked them, which is great because as anyone who written one will know they take a huge amount of time and effort input. Great to see everyone wants to see more ebooks of one description or another. I will try and put out another Free Ebook and another Collaborative one this year if time permits however I have two excellent commercial books coming out shortly that I have been working on for almost a year and so am really excited to have the almost ready for launch. Don’t worry, they will be very reasonably priced. They are:
CHOOSE – Master Of Money Or Slave To It?
I have spent the last 5 years or so of my life reading up on wealth creation and the world of money. Currently this year I have been reading one book a week focused on this topic. This ebook is a clean, collected introduction to the game of money and wealth collection for those that don’t have 5 years to invest in learning, all wrapped up with the quality design and layout that you have hopefully come to expect from thelifething.com. Get excited.
Pictomins – A Minute To Learn, A Lifetime To Use
This book is a collection of 50 ‘Pictomins” that are focused on Health, Wealth, Happiness and Success. More on this later but it is an ebook I am incredibly excited about.
Until then if you haven’t read the free ebooks on thelifething.com then they are:
Free Ebook: How Teux Keep Small Puppies Alive – “I love your sense of humor buddy. I actually laughed out loud several moments throughout reading the above.” Ben Weston
A 5 Minute Read To Make You A Million Billion Times More Successful - “The SUCCESS eBook is like getting punched in the gut 30 times with fists of inspiration” – Colin Wright
.
5. Anything more you want to add or would like to see at thelifething.com?
So it seems it is mostly positive feedback with a heavy slant on practical, everyday applicable advice and so this is what I will aim to give you all as much as I can.
.
So Here Is What Is Going To Happen
I am now off for a week to go sailing and talk business round the UK coast with a good friend of mine who runs nothingbutpadlock.com and wrote the excellent guest post How An Online Padlock Business Created A 30 Foot Yacht. While out I won’t have internet but will work on a new structure for thelifething.com that takes into consideration everyones feedback and will hopefully then give as much value as humanly possible.
Thanks for reading, back in a week. Don’t forget to spread some link love people. Also it would be great if you entrepreneurs could head over to untemplater.com and leave a comment on my guest post there

Groovy….and then some more text because apparently just writing groovy get’s you a fail.
Not on this blog rob, not on this one.
I missed that survey, it’s nice how open you are about the process. Teaches us non-marketing types a little something. Just wanted to drop you a note about how I found your site. You left a silly comment on a different blog I used to read. Which of course is an incredibly common way to cross-pollinate with these things. But the way you did it was refreshingly uncommon, funny, and genuine. It didn’t seem forced and that caught my attention amongst so much of the self-promotion out there. Since then I’ve found many of your articles to be a much happier and lively spin on some normally boring ideas. I appreciate that and am a big fan. Please don’t take the grammar police too seriously, I’d much rather endure a few typos if it means your writing is always fresh. Cheers from Iowa!
Hi Nate,
Cheers man
Really appreciated.
