Thelifething is going through some changes, just a few months before it first birthday. Here is your chance to have an impact on the direction it takes and get help and advice dedicated to you.

Hello all,

No blog post today but instead an announcement, yeah I can see you’re all overjoyed.

Recently, apart from my feedburner stats playing funny buggers, I have been receiving a lot of emails and comments asking about including articles on my businesses and entrepreneurialism in general that might help the next wave of successful up and coming business people and entrepreneurs.

This I have decided is a very good idea, mainly because it wasn’t mine. As some of you may have noticed (Ashley), the header has changed yet again and now the tagline reads “Lifestyle Design, Business and Sexy Money” They are in this order for a reason. Thelifething.com will still mainly focus on lifestyle design but now will also have articles on business and money as well as they are my other two great passions.

So this is where I need your help. I have many articles already drafted in response to requests I have had but I would like to know what else people would want to hear about relating to any of the three topics that this blog is now going to be dedicated to.

Basically, how can I help you more. What do you want to know that I might be able to help with.

It would be great if people would voice their suggestions or questions in the comments below of by email if it is a long request and I will get onto answering as many as I can in the next few months.

Exciting times for thelifething.com and exciting times for you. Get in contact or just send me free chocolate, whatever works for you.

Peace All,

  1. Snap, doing a similar thing on my blog. So tell us your biz story please. How you got started, what you do, what your take on it is and where you want to go with your business. That’s what I’d like to know:) You’ve probably covered this already but it could be a good wayu to sum up for new readers and introduce the topic. Good luck with all your plans!

      Hi Annabel,

First, great new site design, love it.

I like how you are thinking with regards to the summary post and am sketching out a few ideas now. “Why I Decided To Invest In Venture with a 90% failure rate”?

  2. TimB says:

Hi, I’m still really trying to work out how to get the business ideas in my head into the real world. Specifically, in your post about the padlock business, how does that guy go from a great idea to actually having stock/dropship agreements?

    Cheers, Tim

    • Jonny says:

      Hi Tim,

A very good question and one I will see if I can get Tim (the author) to answer. If he can’t because he is too busy swanning around on his yacht then I will take a stab at it from my own experience in setting up two businesses.

  3. Ajay says:

I’d like to see some more articles on your travel. Reading about your experiences in exotic places kindles my hyper-active teen brain. (Probably because I’m stuck in Chennai for another 10 years, which makes me doubly envious of your adventures.)

The ‘Living Abroad’ category seems to have 9 articles, but I bet living in different places for 9 months can lead to potentially more stuff to write about.

Another thing I’d like to know is what prompted you to live a nomadic lifestyle.

Belated 25th birthday wishes dude. And advanced 26th birthday wishes ;) .

This comment should have probably been an email, but what’s life if we keep on doing the right thing?

    Cheers,
    Ajay

    • Jonny says:

      Hi Ajay,

I hear you man, I love to write about my travels so if you want more than more you shall get. I’m thinking something along the lines of “The Main Reasons I Decided To Ditch The Office Job And High Tail It Out Of The Country”

      Thanks for the comment.

  4. Carmen says:

I really like your new design. It’s slick and feels really professional. What I’m trying to do is look at which of our articles has had the biggest response and see if that tells me anything about what our readers are wanting. Also, what keywords are people finding you through? That’s another clue as to what your audience is looking for. BTW – just because this is happening to us as well, what is the Feedburner issue you’re having? Our readership went up and down like a yo you this week and I have no idea what’s going on.

    • Jonny says:

      Thanks Carmen,

Great tips, I will be abusing google analytics shortly with your advice. My feed burner seems to have stabilised from it’s heart attack, hopefully yours is recovering too.

  5. timbrel says:

I’m new here (hi!), so I’ll go ahead and say I’d be pretty interested in anything you write about regarding every one of those categories. Sorry that didn’t answer your question. But I’m subscribing anyway! <3

    • Jonny says:

      Lol, Hello Timbrel,

You might just be my new best friends with awesome one liners like that. You are right, it didn’t help but nether the less an awesome statement. I liked your into video, you have a very nice voice.

  6. Rob says:

Your lifestyle design posts are some of the best I’ve read and I’m sure you will keep them rolling. I would like to hear more about your businesses and how you came up with them. And sexy money, awesome. I think your blog is just about at the tipping point of gaining huge popularity.

Keep cranking out the killer content.

    Rob

    • Jonny says:

Cheers Rob, really appreciate the compliments. I’ll get the business side shaking and who knows, maybe some more people will stop by.
