Yes and no. I always like to get into markets where there are few competitors or where I have a way of doing things that is different to everyone else but is profitable. For me, becoming a doctor is not a smart move because there is so much competition and it is unlikely I will become on of the best, as well as the tax implications.

Ideally, I would say, why not remove as much competition as possible so that you can become the very best at what your do. The top three movers in any field always take the lions share of the profits.

Even completely “new” ideas are simple the combination of old thinking. Some of simplest ideas work the best, especially if you have the guts and resolve to do things differently to everyone else in the industry.

When people say ‘lots of other people doing that’ I always think, well, that is like saying ‘do not become a doctor because other doctors exist’…. durrrr

It is very very hard to come up with a geniunely new idea, so best to find someone who is doing what your doing and check it makes money.

I’ve made some costly mistakes (especially with PPC) but I’m learning a hell of a lot!

We should write a book together in which your thoughts appear on the leftside of the page and mine on the rightside, discussing our respective internal dialogue of our married life together. Well, I mean….it *would* be pretty hilarious if we were actually married and actually had something to talk about. Although, knowing us, we’d just make everything up anyway and it’d be twice as funny.

That has nothing to do with entrepreneurialism, and I refuse to apologize for it.
