Viktor Frankl talks back in May 1972
.
It is rare that I dedicate a blog post to a single TED episode when usually a tweet will do but seeing as a lot more of you follow my blog then the twitter feed this is a better setting.
This 4:22 second video by the suprisingly hilarious German psychiatrist and Holocaust-survivor is sure to have a massive impact with you.

Very interesting speech. I liked the what he said about overestimating. By trying to achieve more than what you want and need you will at least get your real goal (and perhaps more)
Yeah,
Sortof like “Aim for the moon and even if you miss you will land among the stars”. Thanks for the comment.
I’m not sure if he is actually speaking about personal goals per se. Rather, looking for the best qualities which are buried deep within everyone and seeing people as the best possible versions of themselves, rather than judging them based on their past deeds or circumstances. By reaching for the best in people and refusing to see their failings, you help to draw those qualities from them. Being an idealist rather than a cynic. Same thing goes for believing in yourself.
A good point Lach. Thanks for the comment.
thanks for sharing it. so finally being idealist wins over being practical. !
In the planning stages at least, then comes the practical application of that idealism.
Thank you for sharing it – Viktor Frankl is a wonderfull teacher.
Please note, that he is an Austrian, born in Wien.
I wish you great success on your businesses.
Austrian? What did I say?
Cheers Thomas, thanks for the comment.
I had a hard time understanding his english….
Hi Abe and welcome to the site.
I check out your website, very unique though the visualisations and videos must take ages. Kudos.
